In addition to managing some environments and crowds, our teams were in charge of invisible effects related to the main character, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, who was supposed to have lost his legs in the attack. The actor’s body had to be retouched and the elements masked by his limbs had to be recreated during the shooting.
This project is obviously reminiscent of the studio’s similar work on Rust and Bone, where an able-bodied actress (Marion Cotillard) was chosen to play the role of a person with a disability.
